Finally, the day has come... I've been waiting for almost 11 months for the moment when it's time to say goodbye to Frankfurt and hello to Vancouver.
Unbelievable how quickly time has passed and now a new chapter in life begins.
After a very short night, I went to the airport in Frankfurt at 7 o'clock in the morning. I was so excited that I couldn't really eat anything and time flew by so quickly that I soon had to say goodbye to Mom and Dad.
At the security check, I was once again checked for explosives and my carry-on luggage, as always, was sorted out. But in the end, everything worked out and shortly afterwards I was already sitting in my window seat on the plane.
The 10 hours passed relatively quickly because all I did was sleep and eat pasta :D.
When I arrived in Vancouver, I had to go through immigration first, and this also went smoothly without any further problems. I also got my suitcase very quickly.
At the airport in Vancouver, I was then picked up by a woman from the language school and brought two other language students home before I was dropped off in Burnaby.
My host family is very nice, but the living situation is more like Airbnb. I'm staying in a double room with a girl from Colombia, who has been here since January.
Now I just have to unpack my suitcase and get settled in a bit, then the Canadian adventure 🇨🇦 can begin!
