Nach dem Hippy-Maui haben wir das Maui mit den schönsten Buchten und tollsten Stränden wie wir es aus dem Reisekatalog, kennen gefunden. 20Km Küstenstreifen mal mehr mal weniger maniküriert, aber alles atemberaubend. Da gabs nicht viel zu fackeln, heute wird’s ein Beachtag. Beim Ka’anapali Beach haben wir ein Parkplatz gefunden. Der 5Km langer Strand hat ein asphaltierter Weg, wo die Leute gerne entlang joggen, dahinter sind viele Apartment-Häuser, Bars, Restaurants und eine Shoppingmall alles in Lauf-distanz. Perfekt. Ich bestand darauf, dass wir ein Sonnenschirm mieten für 20$ was ein Schnäppchen war angesichts dass so ein 1Bedroom Loge in den Apartmenthäuser 1000$ die Nacht kosten soll! Sonnenschirm verankert, Badetuch ausgerollt, Kleidchen ab, Arschgeweih raus. Ja, habe ich ganz vergessen zu erzählen. In Kauai am Swimmingpool ereignete sich ein kleines Malörchen. Das kam so: Sonnenschirm gabs nur einen und der war an Tisch angemacht, was die Grösse des Schattens auf dem Liegestuhl sehr verknappte. Zoe und ich lagen dementsprechend Liege and Liege unter dem Tupfen Schatten den wir erhaschen konnten. Danach kam gleich der Pool, was ein, auf den Liegestuhl zu kommen, sehr beeinträchtigte. Der einzige mögliche Einstieg war von der Kopf oder Fussseite und es kam natürlich wie es kommen musste. Das Gewicht war kurzfristig unproportional auf dem Liegestuhl, was diesen zum Kollaps brachte und mich elegant auf den Allerwertesten beförderte. Viel gelacht, Hintern ein bisschen gerubbelt – alles gut. Nach ein paar Stunden manifestierte sich dann das Hämatom in der Form von einem Arschgeweih – OK eher ein Arschtolken, aber es könnte schon als Tattoo von einem besoffenen Stecher durchgehen 😊 So gehöre ich nun auch zu der Tätovierten Szene. Hach, wat dat schön!

After the Hippy-Maui we discovered today the Maui with the most amazing bay’s and beaches like we know them from the travel catalog. 20Km coastal strip some very manicured, some a bit less, but all breathtaking. There was not much pondering – today it will be a beach day. On Ka’anapali beach we found a parking spot. The 5Km long beach has a asphalted path, where people like to jog, behind there are condominiums, bars, restaurants and a shopping – all in walking distance. Perfect. I insisted on renting a umbrella which at 20$ was a barging considering that a 1 bedroom apartment there cost 1000$ a night! Installed the umbrella, rolled out the towel and show the world my “Arschgeweih”. Although an Arschgeweih sounds a bit like it’s describing a deformed deer, it is in fact referring to the tattoos that sit just above the bum, on the lower back. I’m not sure if you’ve ever noticed, but tattoos in this area often do look like antlers… I forgot to mention a small episode in Kauai at the swimming pool. So: there was just one umbrella which was attached to a table, which reduced the size of the shade quite a bit. Therefore Zoe and I placed our sunbeds next to each other, with no space in-between as there was the pool just adjacent. Therefore getting on the sunbed was a bit of a challenge. Only entrance point was the head or the foot part. And it came as it had to come: The weight on the sunbed was for a tiny moment unproportioned, it therefore collapsed and laid me down very elegantly on my bottom. We laughed hard, rubbed a bit the bottom – all god. After a few hours though, the hematoma manifested itself in the form of a Arschgewehi – OK it war more a bum bruise, but it could have passed as a Tattoo from a drunken tattooist. 😊 what a beautiful day!
