The journey continues towards the hippie city San Francisco, which we will only reach tomorrow.
Today we had some small items on our agenda and the weather was also good again J
But we already notice that it was worth packing the thick sweaters and jackets, because autumn has slowly but surely arrived here too, although not like in Germany ;)
After a little panic attack because we left our SD card with all the photos in the motel and had to drive back 30 minutes, we finally went to Monerey: a small but nice town right by the sea.
We visited Fisherman's Wharf here, which is the harbor and the pier with its restaurants and candy factories, and strolled around a bit before heading to the 17 Mile Drive.
Here you really drive along the sea and see beautiful beaches and coasts, a luxury golf course, and many tourists J But it was really great here and we couldn't resist taking a snack break at one of the beaches. But we had to postpone it and get back in the car because the wind was just too strong and the bagels almost flew out of our hands.
After 1 hour of pure dream beach scenery, we continued to the small sleepy town of Carmel by the Sea. It was really pleasant to walk around here and check out the small shops, even if it is definitely a touristy place, we really liked it.
But now it was already time to get back in the car and head to Santa Cruz where we had booked a motel room for tonight.
After a quick change of outfits, we headed towards Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, a small pier with an amusement park on it. And we were already sitting in the next roller coaster and taking a ride on the famous cable car across the beach.
Quickly got 2 beers for the evening and back to the motel.
Lights out and good night!
Tomorrow we will check in from supposedly the most beautiful city on the Pacific coast
