So what makes it so easy for us?
First of all, there is the fact that we are in the country of dog lovers, even if Fido isn't so great, the Brits don't take it too seriously. (It could also be that they are too in love with the four-legged friends.) So far, none of our black dogs have made a faux pas, but of course that can happen from time to time.
There are a huge number of "public footpaths" here where you can walk without any restrictions; you don't even need to put your dog on a leash.
Add to that our wonderfully relaxed campsite on a farm, we were practically alone here during the week, the dogs don't have to be on a lead here either, but they would find every food bowl and every barbecue, so we are rather cautious here. In general, Brits are extremely lenient with dogs and children, unless something really bad happens.
We got a fire bowl from James and spent a relaxing evening by the fire. It was pleasant because we were alone and no one else came by.
To avoid getting bored, we did some laundry in Whitstable, then we went to the High Street and the harbour. The second time we went, we went to a really nice café whose name reminds us of Room with a View, because it's called Windy Corner. Whitstable is known as a seaside resort and especially for its oysters, which I at least tried, although I was a little too cautious a few years ago. Good thing I did!
Then we took a little trip to Margate, where the cliffs are also wonderful, although the town itself doesn't have a lot to offer.
But Canterbury was very nice today, because it was the first time without rain, where we got really wet the last two times! The city has flair, it is well visited because of the cathedral and the medieval city center, this time there were mainly French students around, as well as a few Germans. Here I was able to do a little city training with Loki. It was a little exhausting, but the guy mastered it really well! He even stayed calm in the café, but we could still use more practice there, because our friends Meta and Martl clearly showed us how to do it!
I also took a quick trip to a suburb of London because I was visiting an Ayurvedic doctor for my health problems. She has a holistic approach that doesn't just look at the symptoms, but also takes the psyche into account. It's a mixture of western and eastern medicine that I find very exciting. I hope that it will help me soon! Since health is controlled by the stomach and especially the intestines, I now have to follow a few rules when eating, which sometimes don't make it easy for me, but I have to get through it, even if it's difficult. The funniest thing was that I have to set my intestines to "ZERO", so I'm not allowed to eat a lot of things that I consider healthy thanks to relevant advice from doctors and guides. Unfortunately, that includes my beloved mangos and tomatoes. Amúse Bouche: I can drink Prosecco, but not wine.... I can't really explain that, but OK....
