Swakopmund

The road takes us to Swakopmund today - the 'German town' in Namibia. But before we reach it, we make some great stops. The first one is just for taking photos at the Tropic of Capricorn. The next one is at an area that looks like a lunar landscape. Our last stop is at the beach where we can admire hundreds of flamingos in their natural habitat during a short walk. We also make a quick stop at a company where we can book all activities. We decide to do a quad tour. Then we finally reach our lodge.

After exploring the small town and enjoying a delicious meal, we enjoy our cozy room and sleep well, once again in a bed.
The next day our tour takes place. We are picked up and taken to our quads. After some explanations, we get on the bikes and venture into the desert. We zoom over the numerous sand dunes until we reach the very highest one. There we take a short break before starting the wild ride back. It was really amazing.
In the evening, we visit the brewery here. Luckily, we manage to grab the last seats at the bar. After a good Erdinger wheat beer and local cuisine, we happily stroll back to our accommodation. Tomorrow the safari continues.
