After a peaceful night, we continued the start of the final stage towards the French West Coast. Since we were so close to the coast, we couldn't resist taking a detour to the beach with the horses. Beautiful beach and an unforgettable experience!
However, the detour caused us to lose some time. Although it was definitely worth it, it led to us crossing the Spanish border only after noon. Before the border, there was quite a lot of (truck) traffic. By the way, the obligatory COVID-PCR test was not of interest here either.
The Spanish highways are just as well developed and wide as the French ones. And thanks to Corona, there is little traffic.
Although everything went very well, we only arrived at the stud farm around 22:00. Very tired but also satisfied that everything went so smoothly.
For now, we simply parked the caravan in the parking lot. We will move to the definitive location in the next few days. The horses have a large paddock all to themselves for now (quarantine measures due to horse herpes).
If the test on Tuesday is negative, more horses will join us.
The cats are fine for now. They are already complaining again that they are supposed to be outdoor cats. Well, first to the definitive caravan parking space and then we'll see.
