6.11. Tromsø at Night - Captivating Northern Lights

The Northern lights last night were so impressive that we absolutely want more. So after the great experience with Northern Horizon, we spontaneously book a Northern Lights tour for the night. We are very lucky and get a private tour with Max, who comes from the Erzgebirge and we immediately understand each other.

We start at 6 pm, get warm overalls, and if desired also boots and (absolutely necessary) tripods for the cameras. Already at the first stop, Max takes a picture of us under the Northern lights and helps us with the correct setting of our cameras.

The Aurora Borealis takes a short break. Max brings out the fire bowl and stools from the car and immediately there is a campfire romance. We roast elk sausages in the fire, there is hot tea and cocoa (we will provide the shot). We have a lot of fun.

Then it really starts! At each spot (and Max knows the best ones), the Northern lights dancing in the sky outdo themselves. An incredible spectacle. The photos speak for themselves.

Max emphasizes that we are very lucky, this intensity only happens 4-5 times a month.

The tour lasts 7 hours, which pass way too quickly. This experience will stay in our memories for a long time. We will receive the photos that Max took with his super equipment within a short time. He is unbeatable when it comes to photography. A great service, a great guide (Maximilian Berger), and a perfect organization by Northern Horizon!
