My thanks to the electric part

Diterbitkan: 19.06.2019

So this morning at 6:41 my dear colleague wrote to me. 'Where's the next entry? I'm curious' There are really people who read all of this.

Today I rode through fantastic landscapes with great bike paths in the hinterland. This would not have been possible without the electric part. After the tour, I was honest: I wouldn't have been able to do that with my bike either.

I found my first destination again in my great Usedom travel guide 'Favorite Places to Discover' by Claudia Pautz. It says on page 67 '34 meters above sea level *** Seven Lakes View in Neu Sallenthin'. So let's go. Well, I couldn't count seven lakes, but it was already an impressive landscape.

The goal of today was the Rankwitz harbor and especially the Old Smokehouse. My favorite travel guide said that this smokehouse with a restaurant is a MUST. How true, how true.

It was a very, very beautiful bike tour. After my first photo stop, I rode through a dreamlike landscape. In contrast to the past few days, I now wished that there were cyclists in sight. Only a few get lost in this beautiful hinterland. AND THAT'S A GOOD THING too.

According to the travel guide, there should be an interesting church along the way. There was neither a tower nor bells. The latter were placed next to the church. This church wasn't there on the way there. I SWEAR!!!!!! I know this for sure because I had to push my bike through this place. There was only cobblestone pavement here.

I arrived at the Rankwitz harbor much earlier than expected, around 11:00 a.m. Just take a look, take pictures of the water and swans.

Good thing I didn't have breakfast. This fish restaurant was recommended as a secret tip in my travel guide. Rightfully so. Maybe not for long. Who knows how many copies of the book are in circulation. But today I was the only one who ordered lunch at 11:15 a.m., namely 'Black halibut in coconut chili orange sauce with rice'. Simply divine. There was also a fish shop with fresh seafood and smoked fish. I just asked if a part of the smoked fish can survive the return trip to Heringsdorf with me. Clear answer: NO, not at these temperatures. Honesty before profit - that still exists. I set off on the return journey around 12:30 p.m. Courageously, I drove off without a navigation system. It had run down quite a bit on the way there. I had a mobile charger with me, but without a charging cable.....

And then this cobblestone village appeared again. By the way, it's called Morgenitz. I know it sounds pretty crazy: but now it was there: the church. I just took some photos in case it's gone again tomorrow.

Another short break at the restaurant 'Zur Schmiede'. Nice people from Würzburg joined me at their table. They provided shade. We exchanged stories about Bavaria and Franconia, about BVB and the local club, about Schäufle and carp.

Then came the last stretch for today. Back home without a navigation system as well. But next time: cable AND mobile charger or map.

A GREAT DAY - THANK YOU E-BIKE

Die 7 Seen sieht man nur im Winter, wenn die Bäume kein Laub tragen ;-).

OK, aber dann wird es schwierig mit dem Radl dorthin zu kommen
