Day 1: Welcome to Lufthansa

Dear family and friends,

I have decided to write a blog about my vacation in South America. You might be wondering, 'Why is Denni doing this?'

I'm not sure if I'll have internet access all the time, so I won't be able to quickly respond to your messages and give you daily updates. Instead, I will provide nice summaries here.

This way, I can reach the people who are really interested in me. I appreciate all your comments and look forward to sharing my experiences with you.

The vacation already starts at the airport - of course it does! Duty Free, I can only say! I immediately bought new makeup, although the prices are not really cheaper than at Douglas. The flight was very pleasant. I got regular servings of white wine, the food was okay. Time flew by quickly.

Arriving in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, Sebastian's cousins surprised us and I got to practice my Spanish right away. I also finally got to try Colombian coffee and got a huge cup of coffee for only 1€!!! It tasted great too.

After the layover in Bogota, we finally headed to Cali. Sebastian's parents live in Cali and Sebastian was also born and raised there. Unfortunately, I was too tired to take in anything. After over 24 hours without sleep, I went to bed. Sounds of insects and chickens around me. But it's not a problem when you're just dead tired!
