Stage-by-stage journey home

The journey home would take 12 hours... that was a bit too much for us, so we split it into two days.

The trip took us through Bad Gastein with stunning Art Nouveau hotels and Zell am See to Innsbruck, where we first visited an occupied campsite at Lake Natterersee and then landed in Völs. What can I say?...

Pros:

- very close to the center of Innsbruck

- very friendly and uncomplicated operator

Cons:

- the site is very small and in the middle of a residential area.

- besides a (very good) pizzeria right on site and simple sanitary facilities, it doesn't offer anything.

For Innsbruck visitors, it's certainly great. I wouldn't choose it for a vacation though, especially since the overnight stay at 41€ was the most expensive so far. But we wanted to spend the night and that worked out!

The next day we took a train (or rather a car ;-) home. The vacation is over and another adventure starts tomorrow....
