Day 13

Pibliye: 25.05.2023

Wednesday, March 22, 2023

After a long day yesterday, the day started with a delicious breakfast.

At 9:45 am, we walked from the hostel to meet Sahra. Sahra was our guide in Jerusalem and is also our guide in Tel Aviv today.

So we started our trip with her and will end it with her as well.

Before we could start the tour with her, we had to wait a few minutes for her as the traffic delayed her.

Our tour started in Jaffa, where we had a good view of the sea from a viewpoint with a historical monument.

Here we learned how important the city was, as it was a major transportation hub due to its port.

In addition, Sahra talked about the different religions that settle here and why Tel Aviv has two ports. (Religious disagreements)

We also visited a Catholic church and talked about the Greek Orthodox community.

We learned a lot about the architecture and graffiti art in the city and were amazed by the combination of modern high-rise buildings and almost antique apartments. We also learned how Bauhaus architecture came to Tel Aviv, how the planning began when Tel Aviv grew, and about the preservation of historical buildings in relation to the air raid shelters in the buildings.

At the end of the tour, we went to the market. Sahra showed us various stands and recommended where we could eat well.

Now the tour was over and we, as students, decided to give Sahra a tip.

The tour was over and we had free time. Most of us stayed at the market to eat and possibly buy souvenirs.

At 5 pm, the whole group met at the beach to have a picnic and enjoy the sea.

Then the evening was free for us to do as we pleased.

It's just a shame that it's the last evening.
