The campervan

Now we have arrived in Sydney and returned the campervan. We will sleep in the hostel for the next 5 nights before our flight to Bangkok.

Our campervan was a 2006 Toyota Hiace with a petrol engine. The camper is designed for up to 5 people. The van has now travelled 464,387 km and still runs really well. We travelled about 4,000 km with the van in the 17 days. The vehicle was perfect for cooking and sleeping, as it has a high roof. However, it is a large vehicle to drive, not good in the wind and consumes a lot of petrol. Everyone told us that a 4WD vehicle is not necessary for the east coast of Australia. We would have liked to have one because the most beautiful places are in remote areas. The states of Victoria and New South Wales were not bad, but we would not travel there again or recommend it. Australia has so much more to offer. :)
