Thursday, 1.10. - Rathenow

October 1 - Foggy. 

Since we can't see the shore, we decide to make another pot of coffee. 

At 11 o'clock, we faintly recognize the surroundings and start driving. After a few kilometers, we reach the Bahnitz lock. Due to diving work, we have to wait for half an hour, meanwhile the sun has also fought its way through. 

The Havel river meanders as usual through the area, by three o'clock we are in Rathenow, where the German history of the optics industry began, and moor at the city dock. Optikpark, Bismarckturm, and a Greek restaurant are the next stops.
