The night in the unheated cabin was not very restful. I was freezing despite wearing many clothes until morning. I packed my things and set off directly. My destination was the 7-11 in the 10km village. However, yesterday I didn't do any route research because of poor wifi and because the route didn't require any turns. I also didn't have the elevation profile in mind anymore. So not only did I go uphill for the first 10km, but also after a small descent for another 15km uphill. All this in uncomfortable cold weather, which made it very difficult to find the right clothes to avoid sweating too much uphill in the sun and freezing in the shady downhill. While passing through all the tea villages, barking dogs kept chasing after me, apparently claiming the main road as their territory. I have a lot of respect for them now, as I cannot defend myself on the bike. All I can do is hope. Once I just shouted loudly at two of them out of fear. They left me alone after that, and the people on the street seemed to have respect too :-D
But that's not all today. The following 20km downhill took everything out of me. It was a side of the mountain that was in the shade all day. The clouds had gathered there. I went downhill through them for 1000 meters in altitude. I had put on everything and also put on my rain cape from the first few days. But the wet and cold went through and through. In addition, the necessary concentration on the wet road with visibility under 50m demanded everything from me. I couldn't stop either because there was no dry or warm place to stop. I also drove past the first stop after the clouds. A restaurant. A table with other guests even shared their soup with me. I was simply shivering for 15 minutes. Until I regained some warmth through food and tea. The route afterwards was also okay, I drove under the cloud cover, along the valley.
Today I went through a lot mentally and physically and also found a positive thought for the first time, which was "Thank God it will be over soon". That's why there were fewer pictures.
My hotel in the middle of nowhere offers me a hot shower, dinner and a breakfast buffet. That should bring me back to the green zone a bit. Hoping for good weather tomorrow.
Best regards to everyone
