Camp life

Pibliye: 24.11.2016

After all the partying and the expensive hostel 'Luxury Life', it was now time for us to return to the roots of our species, as wandering nomads lost in nature.

So we bought ourselves a camper, in other words, a true masterpiece of an automobile.

For $4000 we bought the VW T4, which was already fully prepared for camping, from an Australian surfer boy.

After proper problems with Australian bureaucracy and taking advantage of all available gray areas, we were able to register the machine and drove north from Sydney.

After our big shopping trip, which mainly consisted of noodles, rice, and water, we first settled in at a beach parking lot.

After a cuddly tight night for three, we moved a few kilometers further north, where we found another secluded beach parking lot, of course without fees and on the border of legality.

There, of course, the first defects in the camper became obvious, namely the driver's door lock broke. But fortunately, we have mechanic Heinz Wünschmann with us, who fixed it with his assistant Etienne.

The next morning we drove to the nearest big city called Newcastle. But since the crooks have put up camping prohibition signs in all parking lots, so that you have to go to the expensive camping sites, we continued to one mile Beach.

There we found another illegal parking spot, where we finally hid with the camper behind a few trees.

After a restless night with constant fear of getting caught, we drove 180 kilometers further north to the small town of Forster, where we currently have our camp set up right in the middle of a main road by the water, because who pays for camping sites.

If we don't end up in jail in the next few days, we will definitely check in again.

Ciao Ciao
