Thanks to enough liquid, coca leaves and yesterday's acclimatization day, I'm feeling better again. 😊
Today (Tuesday, July 10, 2018) we visited the Laguna Cejar, which includes three lagoons. The Laguna Cejar has a salt content of more than 40%. This lagoon has received the name of the Dead Sea of Chile. When I was bathing in it (ice-cold water), I could lie properly in the water.
Already on the way there we marveled at the expanse and the uneven roads shook our Dagi a bit along with us. 🙃
Arriving at the Laguna area, there were already very few tourists there. Admission is cheaper in the morning until 2 pm. They want private individuals with their cars to arrive before the tourist rush (we did not know this, but we were glad to be able to avoid the tourist rush).
You can only swim in one of the three lagoons (Laguna Piedra). We were able to observe two flamingos from a distance at the Laguna Cejar (the main lagoon).
Due to the sun ☀️, the outside temperature was quite warm, but the temperature of the water was quite low, which is why I didn't stay in it forever. It was also very nice to just go in up to the knees. When you get out of the water, you can see traces of salt on your body. That's when you're grateful for a shower.
In this region there are other lagoons as well.
The view of the West Cordillera⛰ reflected in the water is beautiful. Really worth a trip. 😍
