Lake Wanaka

On New Year's Eve, we were at Lake Wanaka.

On December 31st, we went on a great hike for about 3 hours. In the end, we were rewarded with a great view of Lake Wanaka and the mountains.

We spent our New Year's Eve night at a campsite and made our own burgers there.

We celebrated the new year at the beach, and Brayden and I were among the first people to go swimming in the new year (00:10).

On January 1st, 2018, we went on a kayak tour on Lake Wanaka. We rented the kayaks for 2 hours and paddled to a small island.

New Year's Eve was great, and it was wonderful to spend the holidays in the sun instead of rainy Germany.
