Day of onward travel (Somehow the stays are getting shorter).
We pack, eat, and ask the reception how much a taxi to Munduk, in the mountains, costs. When the woman quickly gets some information by phone and answers our question with 400,000 (25€), we are, cautiously said, surprised. We paid the same amount for our 2.5-hour drive across the island. We check our 'taxi app', which unfortunately does not provide any results. As a last idea, we call our 'destination accommodation' (Wi House in Munduk) and ask if they could provide a driver to pick us up - the price is 250,000 (15€) - booked!
40 minutes later the driver arrives, we get in and drive up to the mountain range, with a small detour to an ATM. During the drive, we just stare out the window because we are presented with one panorama after another.
In the afternoon, we reach our new accommodation. We settle into our (relatively luxurious) room and go to the in-house restaurant, which offers another spectacular view, to have a coffee. Two incredibly cute puppies sweeten the time even more.
Afterwards, we stroll through the village, which is located exactly on a small mountain ridge, and soak up the atmosphere. In the evening, we visit a small warung next to our hostel - the prices in 'our' restaurant are a bit more substantial. We have: lemongrass iced tea, cola, fried bananas, fries, vegetable curry, and fried rice for a total of 5€ - the culinary experience can be rated as 'okay' (6/10).
We stroll back to our room and hit the hay.
