Tag 91 - From rowboat to motorboat 🚤😇

Hey everyone

Today we woke up with a splashing sound in our ears - it was raining. Yesterday we got an idea: we need a boat motor! Otherwise, we won't be able to go forward...

We took advantage of the bad weather and searched through various English internet platforms in search of a used motor. There are many, but often expensive, only two-stroke engines, too powerful, too big, too heavy, etc... But: those who search will find. We found a suitable one, near Glasgow. After contacting the seller, we arranged a meeting at 5 pm. That fit well into our plan, because Glasgow is in the right direction if we move to the south of England. The seller lived right on the edge of a huge military harbor. Half the city was fenced off, under surveillance, and signs with "Royal Navy" were everywhere. It was very interesting to see, but we could have bet that we were in the wrong place. But actually, the address was correct. Right next to the fences was a cute settlement of single-family houses. However, we would not have found them if the seller hadn't picked us up on the street and led the way :). He was very nice and chatted with us for a while. Deal closed and motor loaded :).

We continued driving to the sea and wanted to test the motor, but it started raining again (oh yes, from noon until 7 pm, the rain stopped and we even saw the sun occasionally!).

Since we didn't have internet reception, we moved the camper a bit. Not far, just until the reception was guaranteed :).

At least we can watch some TV in the evening.
