01.09.2017 out of the cold

Today we continue driving. In Swakopmund it's only 10 degrees and that's definitely too cold for us. We head towards the Erongo mountain range.

After an hour of driving (9:30) we have pleasant 30 degrees. And we reach Spitzkoppe.

However, we still take a detour to Ameib Ranch to get to Bull's Party. Here too there are gigantic rocks that only balance on one peak. Tim and Leni want to set the rocks in motion. Quite exhausting at 36 degrees now.

There are also well-preserved rock paintings here. The oldest rock pictures are estimated to be up to 24,000 BC.

In the cool car we continue until just before Omaruru to the Orunduriquea Guest Farm.

In the afternoon we take the opportunity for a game drive. Mr. Seibold, the owner, explains a lot of interesting things about the climate, animals and plants.

In the evening we have a cozy dinner with the Seibold family and the other guests. All ingredients are regional and there is the tenderest eland meat ever.....
