and back to Taupo again

Since we really wanted to meet up with our school friend Ben again and work doesn't start for a few days, we decided to go back to Taupo on Friday. Ben will be flying to Thailand and then home on August 4 after one year in New Zealand. However, he will be going to Australia for an estimated 2 years in January 2019. Poor parents... We enjoyed the weather at Lake Taupo, had something to eat, and got some insider tips from Ben. The next day, we watched the opening of the locks again since Ben hadn't seen it yet. The rest of the day, we watched some amateur golfers trying to hit the hole on a platform in the lake. You can win $10,000 if you manage to do it. Unfortunately, no one succeeded that day. We spent the evening in the hostel where Ben lives with some beers and horror movies. Now we're heading back to Cambridge. Because tomorrow at 5:30 our alarm will go off!
