Park Suma Zlatni - Rovinj

Just south of the historic center of Rovinj is a nature park that contains one of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in Istria for me. It stretches for several kilometers around the 'Golden Cape' and along the coast. The largest part is densely forested with tall cedars, cypresses, and of course pines, which makes a stay in the summer heat extremely pleasant.

The coastal path is probably the most beautiful cycling or walking route you can take from Rovinj. Cozy coves alternate with spectacular cliffs, and practically everywhere you can bathe in the crystal-clear sea. Part of it has been filled with gravel to make it easier to access between the rocks. There are also numerous beach bars that rent out loungers, which you can then set up anywhere in the shady pine forest.

Returning by bike in the evening sun is always wonderful, with a panoramic view of the Adriatic and the scent of sea water and pine in the air.
