Love in a bowl 🥬

Working on the farm is physically extremely demanding. I have the utmost respect for the people, especially the women, who have been working here for a long time and then have to cook, clean, and take care of the children at home. We had muscle soreness from day 1 and can literally feel our muscles growing. Every evening after showering, we do the well-known Pamela Reif stretches for our back and neck. 😅

Here you can see the washing station. The vegetables are washed in large bathtubs, then dried and sorted under these fans, and then weighed and packed.

They are packed with lots of love and delivered by our driver Assandat. He gave me "driving lessons" yesterday...I still believe he wanted to kill us, but we survived. The so-called "roads" here in the different communities really require survival training!! They are extremely steep and narrow, everyone parks wherever it is most convenient for them, and everyone drives by their own rules. What we experience and see here, you wouldn't even believe with video evidence. (Luckily, Mom doesn't know about it)

During lunch break, everyone here eats "Pap". That is South African cornmeal porridge with tomato sauce, vegetables, and Braai (meat). Bundi said that we can have Pap with him next week. Reporting follows.🤤
