Racer 5.2.0

Objavljeno: 19.07.2019

Good evening everyone,

The day is slowly coming to an end and here I am, waiting on the bed and writing these lines, until we can go for dinner. My stomach is growling, despite having a Cuba Libre...

So, what have we experienced today? A lot, both positive and negative.

But let's start from the beginning:

Our alarm clock rang relatively early today, at 7am local time. As mentioned yesterday, we had a program planned.

After breakfast, Mike took the bus to Kos Town and Fiona went to the room to get herself and our bags ready.

When Mike returned, he had parked the Racer 5.2.0 outside. Fiona was immediately impressed. So we both sat on it and headed to A.G. Stefanos in the southwest of the island, on the Kefalos peninsula. There, close to the beach, is a mini-island that has a small but beautiful chapel on top of a mountain. So we rented a pedal boat and pedaled to the island. Once we arrived, we dropped anchor and climbed the steep rocks to the chapel. There were photo shoots taking place there. The highlight was definitely ringing the church bell.

After properly returning the pedal boat and luckily not having to pay extra for exceeding the time, we got back on the Scooter 5.2.0 and headed to Paradise Beach.

However, there isn't much to report about Paradise Beach. It wasn't as we had read online before. Everywhere it was said that it is a natural sandy beach. But what we saw was mass tourism. One sunbed, then an umbrella, then the next sunbed. In the end, the beach was natural, that was not a lie. But you could hardly see any sand because of all the sunbeds and umbrellas.

So we were slightly disappointed as our expectations were not met, and we made our way back to the pool in the late afternoon to spend the rest of the afternoon there. Of course, with one or two, maybe even three Cuba Libres.

Now we're ending the evening with live music and a game of Uno.
