Cirque du Soleil

Objavljeno: 15.08.2018

Yesterday when I was writing the blog post, I thought the day was over, we have one more beer and then go to bed. It was not the case. We not only met more Dutch and French people, but also a Czech psychologist, a Swiss (an annoying guy :P) and a 30-year-old Mexican - Jose. Jose is such a person that you could make a movie about his life. After a very tough and sad childhood, he worked his way up from nothing to a sought-after technician/logistician at Cirque du Soleil. He told us stories about all the places he has been, his travels, his family, Mexico, and life in the circus... In the end, we didn't go to bed until 2am and it wasn't so easy for us to get up in the morning and go to school. But we are still highly motivated and even took part in a cooking class 💪. On the way back, we strolled through the streets of Getsemani (the alternative neighborhood next to the old town) and looked for a supermarket. There we waited for about half an hour before we could pay at the cash register. Colombians use the waiting time, for example, to make some music (a rice bag is quickly transformed into a drum). In the evening, we meet Markus, our 44-year-old classmate, in the hostel bar and have a few beers. Actually, we thought we could still go into the city, but after our 'barefoot dancing in the street' action yesterday (at least Cony, I had shoes... good job Barbara), we can't go far anymore.
