My next dream tour begins:
The Via de la Plata is an ancient Roman road that runs from Seville to Mérida, Cáceres, Salamanca, and Zamora in the north of Spain. After over 1000 km, Santiago de Compostela is finally reached.
After a night in Seville, I set off the next morning. From the Cathedral, I follow the markings that lead me out of the city. The sky is still cloudy and a pleasantly cool wind is blowing. After a few kilometers, a walker greets me for the first time with a 'Buen camino'. It brings a smile to my face: Finally back on the Camino ❤️ Shortly afterwards, I meet the first pilgrim. His name is Darek and he is from Poland. He has also walked several Caminos and we quickly start a conversation. We have a Coke in front of the supermarket in Santiponce and then walk together to the Luz del Camino hostel in Guillena. The friendly Hospitaller Pilar opens the door for us and shows us everything. The hostel is clean and has a beautiful rooftop terrace overlooking the roofs of the town.
