Today we had to pack our bags again and continue to Austria. But before we started, Henriette discovered the children's club at the hotel, which had set up some things in the garden. So we let the kids play outside until noon - they enjoyed playing and moving freely, especially Juliane, who usually spends most of her time in the stroller or being carried ;-) Then we headed to Filzmoos...not too far to drive: about 2 hours with an estimated arrival time of 2 PM. But as soon as we got on the highway, we were already stuck in traffic with no possibility to bypass it. The cause was the Karawanken Tunnel, which was partially closed due to construction work, allowing traffic through alternately. Juliane had slept for half of the time, and for the other half, she had to be kept busy: feeding her from the front seat, upside down and reaching to the back...changing car seats so that Henriette sat in the front and Juliane looked out the window like a dog. Overall, we spent 4 hours in traffic, mostly standing, and only moving forward slowly - really annoying. Once we left the Karawanken Tunnel behind us, we made good progress and finally arrived at the 'Vierthaler Landhaus' in Neuberg/Filzmoos at 6:15 PM. The house is very beautiful and lovingly furnished, and our hosts are really nice and accommodating. After getting a dinner recommendation, we went to the 'Fiakerwirt' in Filzmoos. It's a very traditional and rustic restaurant with animals and a playground for the children. It was a very nice and relaxed dinner :-)
The area reminds us a little of the beginning of our trip: the mountains, the traditional, lovingly designed houses with wooden balconies and carvings, traditional costumes, etc. - everything very beautiful.
