Day 17: A little luxury doesn't hurt..

Today it's really warm and sunny. But since it's getting a bit monotonous here, we decide to continue our journey. We spend the morning at the Zaton Resort and pack our things. We leave Dalmatia and drive about 260 km to the island of Krk. Marik is excited about the large bridge that leads from the mainland to the island. On the occasion of our second wedding anniversary, we choose a 5-star resort near the city of Krk. The resort is comparatively small and very upscale. We arrive in the late afternoon at almost 30 degrees. We set up our things and explore the place.

There is a beautiful water spray park for children and heated pools. Marik takes a quick look somewhere else and bam: he gets undressed and runs to the water.

We swim until about 7 p.m. and then go out for fancy dinner. Of course, the obligatory ice cream must not be missing!

There is also a mini disco here. The mascot is a crab. Later, we take a walk along the beach with live music. There is a beautiful pebble beach with crystal clear water.

Tomorrow Tobi will be on a diving excursion all day. I hope I can handle the two kids alone, but I'm optimistic because there are plenty of activities for little children here.

Statistics: We have traveled about 2700 km so far and spent nearly 49 hours in the car. Sounds stressful, but it's actually not. We always drive during the children's bedtime, so it's quite relaxed.
