Day 18: Auckland - Paihia

First of all, I eat the breakfast that was delivered to my room yesterday. Then I run the dishwasher. The dishes are mostly clean, so I have to wash the frying pan again. Yes, I know that you normally don't put frying pans in the dishwasher, but since I didn't have any handwashing detergent, I did it once. After that, I go to the city. I can store my luggage at the bus terminal. I visit the Sky Tower. It is 328 meters tall. You can ride up to the 60th floor and see Auckland from there. The platform is located at a height of 220 meters.

Sometimes the world is really small. While I wait for my bus to Paihia, I see a man whom I know. He was also on the Waitomo caves and Hobbiton tour. In the end, he gets on the same bus as me and gets off at the same stop as well.

When I arrive in Paihia, I am once again amazed. It is just so beautiful here, with all the little islands. My hotel is also far from bad. Another apartment. I go shopping and cook penne with tomato sauce. I am looking forward to tomorrow. Then I will go to Cape Reinga and the Ninety Mile Beach.
