This morning we had breakfast and overslept the checkout.
When we woke up, we checked our phones and had a message from AirIndia. We tried to explain to Anne with gestures that our backpacks are in Delhi because the others were still sleeping. She didn't understand. When we arrive in Delhi on Sunday, we will finally get our luggage! Everyone thinks we are minimalistic travelers, but that is not by choice.
Then we took a taxi from Happy Panda Hostel in Arambol to Dreams Hostel in Vagator.
Many hippie people, so "open-minded."
Unfortunately, we are not open-minded enough to make friends with them.
We took a walk towards the beach and had a delicious picnic by the sea.
Two peaceful stray dogs slept next to us. On the way back to the hostel, a dog started following us and wouldn't leave our side. Suddenly, 5 other dogs appeared out of nowhere and started barking at him. Then they attacked him, biting him. Our dog companion was so scared. I tried to scare them away by shouting and clapping. Now, Hundi stays very close to us. He has a bleeding ear, which was heartbreaking to see. It was a real territorial battle. We named him Rambo so that he can continue to live as a confident dog, haha.
When we returned to the hostel, our dog was gone. We sat with the people from the hostel for a while. For dinner, we went to an Indian restaurant again. The spicy food made me sweat, but Anne had no problem with it. The restaurant was playing terrible, loud music, classics like Pitbull and David Guetta (our teenage music).
Now, we are sitting in a cozy bar, drinking gin and tonic and enjoying the evening.
Other information:
Maybe you know the Indian behavior when Indians agree with you, they shake their heads from left to right. Anne has been doing that since the second day. It's so funny.
