The next two days were all about adventure and entertainment. Early in the morning, we went to Disneyland Anaheim. We specifically chose a Monday outside of the holidays. However, there were still incredibly many families around. In the evening, someone told us that the teachers had a conference on that day and all the kids had a day off from school. So we had to wait a little longer for some rides, but we still had a lot of fun on roller coasters and in the different areas of the park. We saw Mickey Mouse and friends at a show in the theater, a parade, and the light show in the evening. We immersed ourselves in the Star Wars world in the new area called Galaxy's Edge. We had encounters with Darth Vader and Chewbacca, and we flew the Millennium Falcon. Ben and Lukas were our pilots, while Jakob and I shot down the enemies. Ben and Lukas built their own personalized lightsabers in Savi's Workshop. The workshop had a very special atmosphere and the building and activation of the lightsabers were celebrated properly. I built our own R2-D2 at the Droid Depot. I could choose all the parts on the conveyor belt and then went to the workbench. This is an amazing Star Wars world that Disney has created here.
The next day, we went to the roller coaster park Six Flags Magic Mountain. There was really nothing going on there and we didn't have to wait longer than 15 minutes for any ride. We tried all the open roller coasters, about 12 of them, and often found ourselves upside down and looping. Of course, we also had to experience the water rides and the white water rafting, which left us completely soaked.
We had two very nice, but very different days in the parks. Disneyland is beautifully designed, with entertainment being the focus and all emotions being addressed. In contrast, Six Flags roller coaster park really gets your adrenaline pumping.
