Lake Mapourika, MacDonalds Campsite, Franz Josef

The alarm clock rings early, as Nicola and Arnd are going skydiving at Franz Josef Glacier. At 9:30 am, the plane takes off with the two of them and brings them to 16,500ft (5029m). A short time later, they jump out of the plane, enjoy the 65-second free fall, and slowly glide to the ground, where Eileen joyfully greets them. It was an experience and definitely worth the money! Afterwards, we drive back to Greymouth as we need to go to the workshop again. Ever since we were at the workshop earlier this week, Zuhlo always needs some gas for a cold start in the morning. Therefore, we want to have the work checked again. Two hours later, we drive back to Franz Josef Glacier with new glow plugs, passing the Fox Glacier, until we reach Paringa and a small campsite next to a salmon cafe, where we manage to get a spot for the night.
