What do we need to clarify from Germany and what needs to be done to our motorhome so that we can start our trip relaxed.

The first thing we had to clarify is which entry requirements apply to Nala for each country.

Thank God our normal vaccination record covers all the vaccinations that the different countries require.

Only Finland and Norway require a deworming treatment against fox tapeworms, which must not be older than 5 days (before entry).

This means for us that we have to find a veterinarian in Sweden and we cannot spend more than 4 days in Finland, otherwise the dog would need a new deworming treatment.

And I don't want to subject her to that.

Next, let's move on to the motorhome.

The technical inspection must be done, including the gas check.

In the process, I quickly changed the front brakes, did an oil change with filter, replaced the air filter and removed some surface rust.

The technical inspection passed with flying colors, only a small welding work on the exhaust is necessary. Which I promptly took care of.

Next on the agenda was the need to make space in our garage.

And because 3 bicycles are too much for our small garage, a towing hitch was needed. The installation is not really a big challenge.

I quickly bought a bike rack on eBay Classifieds.

Another problem arose with the gas supply, so I had to ask myself how easy it would be to exchange a German (grey) 11kg gas bottle in Finland.

After some research on the web (also realizing that Tascha and I have two different ideas of what "a little" means), I found the solution. A tank bottle in the form of an 11kg gas bottle, with which we can refuel gas at every LPG station. Ordered and installed, everything was easy.
