From Christchurch to the North

After a long night and slightly hungover, we started in Christchurch in the morning to head to our next meeting.

We met up with two girls that Brayden and I met at Milford Sound. We met in Kaiapoi, north of Christchurch, at the supermarket to shop for the meal we were going to cook together. After shopping, we drove together to Kaikoura and watched seals there and then spent a relaxing afternoon at the beach before we started cooking.

The food was delicious and we had a fun evening. One night turned into three nights that we spent together.

The time spent with them is one of the highlights in New Zealand for me, and Brayden and I are looking forward to the next meeting with one of the girls on the North Island of New Zealand. Unfortunately, I can only meet the other half again when I return to Germany, as she left New Zealand on March 1st.

Meetings like these are the things that complete the whole trip and make it what it is! It's amazing how friendships are formed here in New Zealand. With some, I am already certain that they will last a lifetime.

The girls are greatly missed in our group and I am looking forward to the next reunion!
