Bananas in the wild

A nice good evening to everyone,

Here's a little update on our housing situation.

After exploring a minimal part of the city yesterday and looking for other places to sleep due to the cockroach fiasco, we finally arrived back in our 5-star apartment in the evening.

We assumed that cockroach lord would continue to wreak havoc in our bathroom. This was true, but yesterday he brought a few friends to his party. In total there were two adult and two adolescent cockroaches. After this very memorable experience, we felt a little worse than before, especially because we imagined we saw a cockroach escaping through the door and running towards bed.

After a rather sleepless night, we were finally able to move this morning. We found a hostel that would take us in for the next two months. It's very clean here, our spacious room has a working kitchenette, we can use a shared roof terrace with views over the city and most importantly, there are no cockroach lords!

Apart from that, we also visited Laura's school, where she will be working from Monday. It is a very green campus with lots of banana trees!! Very nice!

And to get there we rode on mopeds for the first time today. I think that's one of the coolest things we've ever done in our lives xD Walking through the city at 40 and then the sunset slapping you in the face. Afterwards the mood was simply at its best!
