Today, I ventured out on a hiking trip completely on my own for the first time. Now, you would think I would choose an easy hiking route or at least one that doesn't take up too much time. Not really. After much hesitation, I decided to take the hardest path. Along the way, I not only met an incredibly nice companion from the Netherlands, but also covered 12.8 miles (20.6 kilometers).
