I (Alex) apparently didn't fully recover from the cold I got in Siem Reap, so two consecutive days were relatively unspectacular. On the first day (36), I spend the whole day in bed, sleeping a bit and resting. Jonna occasionally walks around the city and buys some things. In the evening, I take a painkiller and we go to the other side of the river again to grab something to eat.
The second day is very similar, except this time we don't spend our time in the hostel room but at the pool. A hotel a few streets away from our hostel offers the possibility to spend the whole day at their pool for a fee of 3€ per person. Since we didn't want to sit in the stuffy room again, we move our laziness outside.
The day flies by and before we know it, evening falls once again. This time, we stay on our side of the river for dinner and find an equally delicious restaurant (By the way, with restaurant we mean an improvised installation of plastic garden chairs/table under a pavilion and a 2-meter wide kitchen located on a small trailer. For 2€, you get beef with rice and noodles with vegetables, both very tasty (8/10).
Since we are slowly getting tired of cities in general and have the feeling of going around in circles, especially in this one (Battambang), we firmly decide to rent a scooter for tomorrow and drive around a little. In addition, we used the sluggishness to plan the trip a bit, so we have already booked a flight to Bali, as well as an accommodation there and our return flight.
