Lembeh - more critters

It continues with some incredible critters.

This seamoth (in German "brick-winged horsefish", who is supposed to remember something like that?), for example, practically walks on the ground. We've never seen anything like this before.

Today, apart from everything else, the most spectacular thing was the small (venomous) blue ringed octopus. When relaxed it is almost entirely yellow, but the more excited it becomes, the more its violet-blue rings light up.

We haven't yet been able to find out what it's called or what it is. I'm sure we'll figure it out. Unless we quickly discovered a new species while swimming past 😅

Towards the evening we did another dive to watch mandarin fish. They mate at dusk. This happens very quickly and is difficult to capture in a picture. But in the end we managed reasonably well.

And the bear got a name. More on that in another post.
