Nazca lines

प्रकाशित: 14.02.2019

Here things are really happening rapidly.
After a short, hot and mosquito-infested night, we continued to Nazca at 8am.
Nasca is famous for the so-called Nazca lines. These are various images that have been painted in the sand. Since it never rains in Nazca, the figures are between 500 and 2000 years old. What is behind the lines and why they were created is still a mystery.
The best way to see these different figures is by plane. Of course, I did that too. As you can see in the picture, the plane is already very small with which the flight is carried out. In total, there are 6 passengers and two pilots.
Since we always had to see the pictures from the right and left side (equal rights for everyone), we naturally flew slalom. The flight was definitely not for the faint-hearted 🙈.
After the flight, it was time to wait and somehow pass the time, as my bus will only leave at 10pm.
Luckily, I met Diana (Colombian) and Pascal (New Yorker) (both traveled with me from Huacachina to Nazca).
There are only about 10 restaurants in Nazca and really no other attractions than the Nazca lines. That's why we sat in a restaurant for at least 3 hours and ate very slowly :D
To take some more time off the clock, we wanted to have a drink somewhere else. Luckily, we found the only restaurant/bar with a dartboard and spent our remaining 4 hours there.

My bus to Arequipa was actually quite punctual and not too crowded, so I had two seats to myself and could sleep well.
In Arequipa, I finally have a free day where I can do whatever I want.
