Once back in Wellington, we visited the city center, the 'Wellington' sign, and the beach.
From a lookout point, you can see how big the city is!
In the evening, we slept in the car at the beach. Once again, a clear advantage of a 'self-contained' vehicle!
From there, we had a wonderful view both in the evening and in the morning.
And then in the morning, more than 40 dolphins passed by, and Carina couldn't stop smiling.
Afterwards, we wanted to have a classic Bavarian lunch at a 'Munich Beer House', but when we saw the price of 15 euros for two sausages, we lost our appetite and decided to eat somewhere else.
Really unfortunate!
Many people had recommended us to visit the National Museum 'Te Papa Tongarewa', so we went there.
The admission is free and we spent two hours there, but you should plan for three to four hours as it has six floors and covers 36,000 square meters. It's not a traditional museum like we know it from Germany, it's more interesting and modernly designed!
First, we entered through an entrance that depicted the history of New Zealand with huge figures, videos, and a timeline on the ground.
There are also modern touch screens that you can control with the shadow of your finger.
We also saw the world's largest specimen of the colossal squid.
