On the previous day, I was able to work my way up to about 3km from the German-Czech border and on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017, I only had to find a way across it to Bayerisch Eisenstein and into a suitable bus or train. All of this went smoothly, so I arrived in Grafenau around 2.00 pm after a stopover in Zwiesel and a little excursion to the town (a charming Bavarian small town). There I was picked up by Marcus, because public transportation to Freyung turned out to be rather cumbersome. We spent the rest of Saturday in a relaxed manner with some white wine and good food.
On Sunday, we took a trip to Passau. We did the city stroll, partly because of the extremely changeable weather, in various pubs. Despite the few dry and partly sunny phases, we still got an impression of the beautiful city. In the evening, we returned to Freyung for burgers and a drink or two. All in all, it was another successful Pentecost weekend...
