Heat battle at Lake Bled🫠

First of all, get some sleep.😴

After our breakfast we set off in the morning with the aim of circumnavigating Lake Bled.🏞

When the thermometer already shows 30 degrees at 10 o'clock, you know where the journey is going🐫🏜

So we packed our water bottles and headed straight through the middle.

Lake Bled is extremely well developed for tourism.🙄 A blessing and a curse. But the water is wonderfully, incredibly clean.

Today we only got a feel for the ground. But we still HAVE to.

By chance we discovered a beautiful viewpoint, which fortunately not all guests noticed. 😯

Postcard motifs until you drop, really beautiful. Meanwhile the thermometer showed 36 degrees and that's exactly how it felt. 🫠

Of course, the 6km walk around the lake wasn't enough for us and we then walked to the equally picturesque Bled Castle. It was a steep path but in the shade.

At the top there was a great panorama, good 🍺 and sunshine at its finest. But that was all over very quickly.

It closed and then all the floodgates opened. Lightning and thunder, of course.

Works like a pig!

We used the time to visit the castle museum and do something good for the souvenir shop.

2 hours later and 15 degrees colder 🥶 we were able to take a deep breath with a nice glass of wine from the castle tavern.

Another 🍨 at the lake and then into the Italian restaurant. It's always a gamble. It was okay, but a one-time visit...

The heat has already taken its toll on us today, so we won't be stopping off for the evening.

The shower earlier was outstanding. 😅
