Viel Spaß ihr Rabauken, genießt die Zeit und habt viel Spaß. Coole Idee mit dem Block. Weil ist n bissl wie mitfahren. Tschüss und dicken Drücker प्रकाशित: 10.02.2019
The days of anticipation have come to an end. The cat has been taken to the boarding house, the trash is downstairs, backpacks are packed, and the travel sandwiches are made.
That's how the day went before heading to the train station. I can already feel the excitement. Even if you try to be cool, going on a four-week long-distance trip for the first time with a backpack is not easy.
Speaking of backpacks and hips. Man, we packed and repacked so much. Rolled, folded, wrapped, or stuffed, there are dozens of videos and 'experts' tips. You don't even know where to start and how it will end. I tried different methods all week and ultimately decided on the 'clump-packing technique'. First, all clothes are laid on top of each other alternately. The center is made up of underwear or socks, and then all the previously sorted clothes are rolled up in order. This way, a big clump of clothes is created, which can then be easily stuffed into the backpack. Supposedly, this method is quite efficient and causes the fewest wrinkles. Well... we'll see.
Current travel weight: Sina's backpack weighs 9 kilograms, and mine weighs about 12 kilograms. I explain this by being about 30 centimeters taller. It can't be due to the amount of individual items and travel cosmetics I brought along. ;)
Let's go. First, by train to Munich. Then, a night in the hotel and tomorrow morning to the airport heading to Colombo. If everything goes well (which we strongly believe it will), we'll check in on Tuesday from Negombo.
We say bon voyage and see you soon.
