On the last day in Wanganui, I rode with the postwoman on her route through remote streets, ....what amused me a lot .... are the mailboxes that the New Zealanders have ... old microwave, retired refrigerator, old sewing machine with a box on top, old barrels and much more, scenic again fantastic ..... then we went on a small, very winding and adventurous road to piperiki .... from there we went by jetboat to the 'bridge to nowhere', which can only be reached by boat .... the ride with the jetboat was fantastic .... to go up the wanganui river, it is the longest river in New Zealand ..... a walk of one hour and then we would be at the bridge to nowhere ... but what fascinated me more was the swing bridge that came before ...😁👍short stop, some history lessons, a little food ... and then back with the jetboat to the car and back ... another beautiful day .... 👍👏
And then the next day continued with the bus 🚌 to Wellington and from there to the ferry to Picton .... South Island ....
And arriving here, I am impressed again by the country ... my hostel here is not in the best condition, but okay, sometimes you have to compromise, but the surroundings are beautiful, today I walked 14 kilometers on the Queen Charlotte track ... very beautiful, every effort is worth it ...
