Hello everyone, I'm currently in the writing mood, so I'll follow up with another small post that actually would have fit better with the previous one, as I only did a day trip from San Marcos to the aforementioned city. However, I took too many beautiful pictures here, so I'm separating the posts.

In Chichicastenango, there is the largest market in Central America. We visited it for a few hours. We took a public bus directly from Panajachel (capital of the lake) for 20 Quetzales for 1.5 hours. Before that, we had to take a public boat for 30 minutes to get there.

On the market, you can buy absolutely everything. Similar to the one in Antigua.

My highlights were the colorful cemetery and the tortilla session. Here, I ate something at a street stand and then asked if I could bake tortillas. Since I, as a Gringo (actually American), was not used to it and have a taco press at home, it was really difficult for me to shape them by hand. Everyone laughed at and with me. Unfortunately, I used too much water, so I got a second chance. However, I didn't give up and was very satisfied with my end result.
