People on the coast are more direct and curt.
Example: On the drive from the highway to Büsum, we saw a lot of sheep grazing in the pasture and even their own hall for selling lamb. So we got a taste for lamb. And if you know Katja, you know that he won't stop until he is satisfied. That can take days.
So we went looking for lamb in the evening. Butchers were already closed, but there, in the butcher's counter at Edeka, we found lamb loin. Now, this is not suitable for grilling. Ignoring the lamb loin, I asked the meat saleswoman if they had lamb. She said, 'Lamb loin.' I replied that I could see that, but if they perhaps had something else from the lamb, like chops. She finally said, 'No'.
Another anecdote. When I went to pee at 4:30 this morning - I forgot my Granufink - the men's toilet was occupied by the cleaning lady. She directed me to the women's area. When I entered, I initially scared the young woman there, and then she giggled.
At 7:30 in the morning, while doing the dishes, I encountered the cleaning lady again, still cleaning. When I asked her when she would start cleaning, she replied, 'At two, otherwise it won't work. Later, people will be farting at your feet.'
