Hello dear ones!
I am an enthusiastic camper - although I have only recently been able to pursue my passion more intensively by buying a new camper van. As a craftsman, I only have a rather manageable pension, which is supplemented by a financial cushion - it is just enough to live my dream of living in a motorhome, but it doesn't work without consistent calculation! I don't need to tell you that camper life has long ceased to be a cheap leisure activity and anyone who wants to travel around with a motorhome will be sobered up at the petrol station... At some point in the next few months, I will slide into semi-retirement. I don't want to complain (we Germans like to complain at a higher levelЁЯШИ) - but I wonder if giving up my rented apartment as a permanent residence would be an alternative for financial reasons? A mailbox address would certainly not be a problem, personal belongings can be stored in a garage, and the saved rent - which is almost a third of my income - I would much rather invest in occasional parking fees and improving my quality of life... Since I mostly stand freely with my self-sufficient motorhome and only visit paid parking spaces every few days to meet like-minded people, the saved rent would really have a relaxing effect on my wallet.
There are certainly many pros and cons and also some people here who have considered similar thoughts.
Are there people here who are already one or more steps ahead and can help with their experiencesЁЯШЗ?
Finally: who would like to take the step and maybe join forces with meЁЯШЗ (I am single and that can definitely changeЁЯШВЁЯЩИ)?
PostscriptЁЯШЗ
Hello dear ones!
Thanks for the lively exchange of thoughts on the topic!!!
For my part, I will now gather my experiences to see if I really still need an apartment as a base in the next 1-2 years - or if I dare to take the step myselfЁЯШЕЁЯСН
One tip here I will keep particularly in focus: during my travels, relieve the holiday fund here and there by taking on small jobs - even if it's just for room and board or a tank fill-upЁЯШЗЁЯСН What excites me about the idea is not only replenishing the travel fund, but also getting to know nice people and as a voluntary (!) change, work is more of a hobbyЁЯШИЁЯШВ...
(Of course, others have already come up with the idea - I just didn't think of it).
