We drive to the Quiberon Peninsula. Perhaps even more touristy than Cancarneau. Initially, the area is unfriendly to us. The camping site I selected has no vacancies. It's noon, we're hungry and have no accommodation. But then we find a nice spot on the isthmus. So we have a beach in the west with wind and one in the east without, where we can even sunbathe for an hour.
On the first day, we just take a short walk on the beach and wade to an island located just off the shore.
The next day, we take our bikes to the southern end of the peninsula, Quiberon. Opposite is the island Belle-île-en-Mer, but after our trip to Ouessant, we skip the way there.
Katja finds a signpost for the bike path and we ride through the dunes on sandy paths.
In Quiberon, we follow the rule we developed during the trip: Take the first one and eat fantastically. Fish and chicken at the highest level. Not cheap, but worth every penny.
Now we've been in a hereditary Celtic area for almost two weeks and haven't seen anything specifically Celtic yet.
We want to change that and ride to Carnac, where thousands of menhirs and some dolmens can be seen. It's impressive, but also annoying because the areas are completely fenced and of course, overcrowded with tourists.
