Colonia de Sant Pere

प्रकाशित: 06.07.2024

Our last trip from Cala Radjada took us to Colònia de Sant Pere.

Thanks to Weinheim for this tip.

As many roads lead to Rome, you can get from Cala Radjada to the north by first heading west to Artà. Today we followed the routes on the bike sat nav. This took us on a detour to Arta. When we arrived there on C. de Ciutat, we couldn't believe our eyes. People, people, lots of people and more people in between. It was market time. We could only push our bikes and so we tried to get away from the crowds as quickly as possible.

Leaving the city, we headed towards Alcúdia on the Ma-12. After a few kilometres, the road towards Colònia de Sant Pere branches off to the right.

Colònia de Sant Pere is a town that has grown over time and has managed to retain much of its originality. Tourism is more concentrated in the surrounding urbanizations that were built there in the 1960s. Our stay was accordingly peaceful.

We had a little drink on the promenade and visited the harbor.

We had chosen the Finca Es Serral in Artà for dinner. We can highly recommend the restaurant; when we ate there, it was mostly frequented by locals. We ate well and will definitely return if we ever find ourselves in this area again.

In the meantime, our departure from Mallorca was dangerously close. The weather forecast opened up the right window of opportunity. Before we made the crossing to el Masnou, the plan was to spend one more night in the port of Pollença.

For all boaters, the gas station there is extremely cheap, so it is definitely worth filling up your tank.

Our plan was to go to the local port and not the royal port.

Let's see if it works.
