On Monday, it was time to wake up at 6.30 and have breakfast at 7.00. How could one start the day better than with a fresh papaya, a fresh mango juice, and scrambled eggs. Yes, exactly, I don't think it could be any better. That's what I thought too. Until I took a bite of the scrambled eggs and realized that it was made with onions and garlic. Well, different countries, different customs. Out of courtesy, I ate half of the scrambled eggs and then enjoyed the papaya. It's a shame that the fruits in Switzerland NEVER taste as good as abroad. After my breakfast, I went to school eagerly and somewhat nervously. Since I didn't know exactly where it was, I took a taxi, there are about a million of them here in Cartagena, and went to school. I arrived at the school at 7.45 am, yes, I'm still Swiss. Actually, the school was supposed to start at 8.00, but until 8.00, there was no one :). When the first ones arrived at 8.05, the class started immediately. Reading texts, conjugating verbs, and having conversations (preguntas y respuestas) would accompany me throughout the week. Preguntas y respuestas means Questions and Answers.

From now on, I was in class with an American girl named Katarina for this week. We have two teachers who study with us. One woman (unfortunately, I don't remember her name) and Carlos. With Carlos, we only have conversation during the last week, and with Maria (I'll call her Maria now), we have everything else.

At the beginning of the week, I still studied every evening, made flashcards, and tried to learn all the conjugations of regular and irregular verbs.

By the end of the week, I was already glad if I even did the homework ;). I put more emphasis on using what I learned in everyday life.

Oh, and by now I'm also at school at 8.05 ;)
